Writing for Children (Middle Grade)
Join Maisie Chan for this free, 2-hour, online workshop!
Writing for children is often magical and fun, yet there are relatively few writers of colour published in this age range. This workshop will examine the types of books that are out there for 8-12-year-olds and delineate how they are different to picture books and chapter books. We will explore what makes a good character for this age group, look at the different genres popular in middle grade at the moment. This workshop with Maisie Chan will be informative yet also creative.
Essential items include: access to the internet, and a working camera and mic
